Every day, Chicago’s West Englewood residents navigate challenges such as housing and food insecurity, transportation barriers, employment obstacles, and limited access to essential resources. These challenges make it difficult to achieve long-term stability and economic mobility.
Through the community-led Englewood Strong program, residents receive personalized support to identify and overcome barriers to opportunity in areas of education, employment, and personal empowerment.
Together, we’re helping individuals and families break down barriers and build brighter futures, business skills, and a path to financial independence.

Expand Personalized Case Management
Every resident’s journey is different. Through Englewood Strong, residents work one-on-one with case managers to identify barriers, set goals, and connect with resources that help them move from surviving to thriving.
Connect Residents to Critical Resources
Whether it’s assistance obtaining a state ID, accessing benefits, securing legal aid, finding job training opportunities, or addressing transportation challenges, Englewood Strong helps residents navigate the systems and resources that support long-term stability.
Provide Immediate Support During Times of Need
Families facing housing emergencies or financial hardship often need immediate assistance before they can focus on long-term goals. Your support helps residents access transportation assistance, work uniforms, and frontlines support services, including fresh meals and access to Peace Pantry essentials, such as non-perishable food, household supplies, hygiene products, and baby items.
Increase Access to Skill-Building Opportunities
Workshops focused on financial literacy, digital literacy, resume building, and communication skills help residents build confidence, strengthen capabilities, and create new opportunities for themselves and their families.
