Building pathways to brighter futures
A Note from our Executive Director
As we reflect on 2025, we celebrate a year defined by possibility, perseverance, and partnership. Last year marked one of the most meaningful milestones in Spark Ventures’ history: the first Grade 12 graduation at Hope Community School in Zambia. Eight years ago, our partners at Hope dreamed of building out a full secondary school so students could remain on campus, continue their studies, and dramatically increase their chances of graduating. Today, because of your generosity, that dream has become a reality.
This achievement represents more than academic progress. It reflects a shared belief that all young people deserve the opportunity to imagine their futures boldly and pursue them with confidence. It is a testament to Hope’s strong leadership, along with the commitment of the Vallavbhai & Savitaben Patel Foundation, the John & Susan Dewan Foundation, and Spark’s dedicated Board of Directors, whose years of investment helped expand Hope’s campus one grade at a time.
Throughout 2025, Spark Ventures continued to strengthen and deepen our partnerships around the world. In Chicago, Mexico, Nicaragua, and Zambia, we invested in programs that lift up individuals, create new opportunities, and empower communities to thrive. Whether installing a new solar panel system at Hope, supporting women entrepreneurs at Entreamigos, participating in another powerful Unity Day with We Grow Chicago, or expanding vocational programming at Las Tías, we are guided by the same core conviction: lasting change happens through long-term partnership.
United by purpose and driven by impact, our partner organizations continue to lead the way. Their impact was magnified by the dedication of the Spark community – together, we are widening pathways for future leaders, innovators, creators,
and changemakers.
Thank you for joining us in this transformative work.
With gratitude,
